Huey Mnemonic is a Flint raised, Detroit based Music Producer, DJ, and Sound Artist with an insatiable knack for electronic music. His work is driven by a passion for Detroit Techno, Afrofuturism, world-building, and synthesized sounds.

As the visionary behind Subsonic Ebonics and Mnemonic Labs, Huey leads a transformative journey in electronic music and visual storytelling. His music radiates a distinct sense of futurism, drawing audiences into immersive soundscapes at one moment, then shifting to rhythms crafted for the dance floor in the next.

Huey's deep-rooted connection with the world of Techno extends beyond his personal projects. Working directly with Underground Resistance, Submerge, & Exhibit 3000 — Huey’s tutelage under “Mad” Mike Banks has enriched his pursuit of sharing his music on a global scale and contributing to the long lineage of Detroit Techno.

My artistic practices weave together music production, DJing, visual art, and graphic design. Drawing inspiration from afrofuturism and cyberpunk aesthetics, and viewing the future through a Black lens, I explore how humanity and technology intersect to create new, transformative ideas.

I am an Afroteknologist, aiming to create works that take audiences on unique paths through afrofuturistic expression. My compositions vary from deep, atmospheric soundscapes to experimental, dancefloor-ready rhythms, always pushing toward forward-thinking concepts.

My creative process lies in using technology as a transhumanistic tool in world building. The accrued experience of performing, track making, and design fuels my passion for pushing boundaries and inviting others to explore new realms of thought and sensation. My goal is for the work to interface with people and contribute to the ever-evolving future of art and music.
